A Weekend in Nashville

Time to dust off your cowgirl boots sister, we’re taking on Nashville! Okay but on the real, I can’t believe this is my first real travel guide? What better place to share than Nashville! It’s crazy that I’m only a short car ride away and don’t visit nearly enough. Spending the weekend with gals that have been visiting Nash for years, plus a few that had never been, was the perfect combo. It was like having built-in tour guides and tourists all in one. Just to be clear, I was most definitely the tourist.

WHAT TO DO

1: MUSIC CITY CRAWLER

If you’re looking for something tourist-y to do with a large group, I couldn’t recommend this enough! You literally pedal around Broadway in downtown Nashville with your favorite playlist blasting. With or without COVID restrictions, it’s challenging to find things that could accommodate a large group. Our entire group fit and still had extra room! Our tour guides were so fun and made sure we had the best time!

2: MOLLY GREEN

One of my absolute favorite things to do when traveling is support local businesses. Earlier this year, Nashville was hit with terrible tornadoes and Molly Green lost one of their stores. We were so excited to head over to the studio and work with their team! Their space is stunning and they carry such unique pieces. Take an empty bag on your trip, you’ll want to stock up on one of everything when shopping!

3: KENDRA SCOTT

Y’all know I’ve been an avid Kendra Scott gal for years, so finally doing the Color Bar was a dream! If you haven’t done it before, I couldn’t recommend it more. You get to hand-pick your stones, the setting and color combinations. I put together the prettiest pink earrings, then added on a bracelet with my babies birthstones. If you’re shopping for someone special, putting together something sentimental with your family or have a bridal party you’d like to treat, this is such a fun keepsake!

4: BROADWAY STREET

If you aren’t a night owl, no problem. Broadway is busting at the seams from early AM until the same time the next day. I love that each bar, restaurant and hole in the wall is overflowing with singers, songwriters and someone playing the acoustic version of a song on their guitar. Be mindful that, with COVID, the restrictions in most locations require you to be seated the entire time you’re in a bar or restaurant.

WHAT TO EAT

1: NADA

Oh my goodness, I don’t even know where to begin with Nada. Their salsa options are fresh and endless. The queso is the perfect combo of subtle and smoky. The guacamole was so fresh it tasted like they grew the ingredients in the kitchen. I hate brussel sprouts, but I was begging for another round of them. The environment is super chic while being surprisingly affordable.

2:HAMPTON SOCIAL

Quite possibly the most Instagram-worthy brunch spot in town, they also have delicious eats. I saw a table next to us order the fries and shrimp tacos, so I followed suit and was stuffed. One of the girls in our party ordered the avocado toast and I’m adding that to my list of eats to try next time we’re in town! The first floor is filled with endless areas to snap photos, while the second has stunning views of downtown Nashville.

3: RESTORATION HARDWARE

Yes girl, I said it. Go have lunch in the furniture store. Their cafe is so stunning, it seriously felt like I stepped into a chic interior design catalog. You know, the ones where you can’t afford any of the items and probably shouldn’t touch anything, but still like to get some inspo in case you get rich one day. The furniture is way out of my price range, but the avocado toast isn’t and it’s delicious.

4: FIVE DAUGHTERS BAKERY

Literally 100 layers in one donut. What?? They’re almost too pretty to eat! I love that this is a family-owned business and that they have a zillion flavor options! We had two boxes of them and barely put a dent it them because they’re so huge. They even offer paleo and vegan options, so there’s something for everyone!

WHERE TO STAY

From the get-go, our goal was for our group to stay in the same place. Finding a location that holds 11 girls (with tons of luggage and outfits!) should have been challenging in itself. Thankfully our friends at Bode were beyond accommodating and made our stay such a breeze. The entire time I was there I kept snapping photos and telling my family we needed to plan a trip and stay here together! It’s one of those places you could enjoy without ever leaving the property, but also a short walk or Uber ride from downtown.

NEXT TIME

1: MURAL TOUR

I think I’m most sad that I missed out on all of the awesome Nashville murals. Haley and I were planning to spend most of Sunday getting photos all around Nashville, but the wind was so insane I almost lost my lashes. 😂  But really though, Nash has the best murals and I was so sad to miss out on the photo ops. I’m already mentally packing for a trip in the spring and planning on doing a run through of all the dreamy spots to get photos!

2: WHITE LIMOZEEN

Once again, a spot that’s insanely Instagram-worthy. Y’all know I’m a pink girl through and through, so this was a dream! We actually had reservations here, but they ended up being closed the weekend we were in town due to COVID restrictions. This is a must on my next trip to Nashville!

3: PINEWOOD SOCIAL

I’ve seen so many posts featuring Pinewood and am having major FOMO that we didn’t make it here while in town! I know this will be a stop on my next trip, especially when Mario and I visit. I’m not necessarily big on bowling, but the atmosphere seems like they have something for everyone.

Have you been to Nashville?! Let me know what I need to add to my list for my next visit! Hope this is helpful if you have a weekend getaway planned soon!
