The crisp fall air here in Kentucky can only mean one thing… It’s family photo season. Between scheduling a photographer, wrangling your little ones and convincing your husband you “need” another round of family photos, there’s entirely too much on your plate. I hear you, mama! Rest assured, the end result is so worth it! We had these taken while Mario’s family was in town as a birthday gift for his mother, because it’s not often we are all able to get together for photos.
Also note, while there was a handful of photos where we’re all looking at the camera, over 75% of the ones taken that day were a mess! Between Braxton screaming most of the morning and Beckham playing peek-a-boo, nearly every photo had some sort of distraction. As much as I consider myself a perfectionist when it comes to photos, I can’t help but genuinely laugh and smile. I’m so grateful for my babies and their personalities, so it’s nice to have captured this season of life we’re in with them. I love using this space as a “diary” to look back at memories over the years and hope you can gather a little inspo for your upcoming family photos from ours!
No one looks at family photos and thinks “wow, they probably would have been happier if they wore the other outfit option” but you’ll always remember how your crew felt that day. My point being, enjoy the day and just don’t stress. Play your favorite song, dance along, wear something semi-comfortable and just be yourselves!
