SURPRISE!
If y’all know me, you know I’m a planner through and through. I love putting together parties, get togethers or just hosting in general. Celebrating my friends and family is quite possibly my favorite pastime. All this to say, Mario doesn’t tend to put much thought into our hosting efforts.
…which made it all the more special to walk into a surprise party planned by him.
Knowing 29 wasn’t exactly a noteworthy birthday, I wasn’t expecting much aside from pizza and a relaxing night in. Mario, on the other hand, is one for celebrating each birthday like it’s a milestone for the ages. Earlier in the week, he surprised me with a few friends and my parents at dinner. Thinking he had really outdone himself, I definitely didn’t expect another surprise coming my way.
The blurry photos are a result of me being in extra shock and moving around like a crazy lady. I was literally shocked to see the sweet faces around me and trying to take it all in!
Y’ALL! I cannot tell you how highly I recommend surprising a loved one with a night full of karaoke, dancing, snacks and cake. We had so much fun with our whole crew. Bring the snacks, pack the drinks and get the party started. Oh, and for those wondering, we never got Garrett off the stage. 🤣
We ended the night with a trip to a few local spots, pizza and all the laughs. I couldn’t have asked for a better night! Now that I know my Mario is so great at coordinating events, I might have to start leaving all the planning to him.
Once again, thank y’all for always being so quick to celebrate alongside me! I’m beyond thankful for each of you. Here’s to looking at each milestone a little more like Mario and making each birthday one worth really celebrating. Cheers to 29 and making it the best year yet.
